Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Barry Weatherstone.

As I stepped into my mid-60s I noticed some unwelcome changes to my life. I was sleeping poorly, my energy had vanished, and the pounds started to creep on.

Does this sound familiar? When I visited my doctor, the response was always the same: "That's common for your age." I was handed prescriptions and some scant advice, but they often came with their own set of frustrating side effects.

As a lifelong learner, I decided to take matters into my own hands and delved into the latest research on senior health. What I discovered was a game-changer: our bodies undergo significant changes as we age. The health strategies that worked for us in our 30s, 40s, and 50s are simply no longer as effective.

For instance, I learned about our internal body clock, the Circadian Rhythm. It naturally shifts as we get older, making us tired earlier in the evening and causing us to wake up earlier in the morning. Instead of fighting this natural progression, I found ways to work with it to achieve deep, restorative sleep again.

But my research taught me something else just as important. While our bodies may change, our sense of humour doesn't have to! I firmly believe that laughing about the quirks of getting older is as vital to our well-being as a good night's sleep.

My books are here to share everything I've learned—practical health advice that truly works for this chapter of our lives, and a healthy dose of humour to help us all enjoy the journey.
